About this piece
The biggest of the Great Lakes, cut to its true outline: Duluth at the western tip, the Keweenaw hooking into the middle, Isle Royale and Thunder Bay to the north, Marquette and Whitefish Bay along the south shore, and Sault Ste. Marie at the outlet. The acrylic surface handles condensation rings and lake-house life without complaint.
It serves the cabin crowd from the U.P. to the North Shore, and it looks right on any counter in between.
The lake in full stacked relief hangs as the Lake Superior 3D chart.

How the water becomes wood
A chart you can set a glass on.
The shoreline of Lake Superior is laser-cut from birch, the depths and place names burned in, and the whole chart sealed under a durable acrylic surface. Made to be used, not just admired.
Coffee table on a Saturday, shelf the rest of the week.
It carries the drinks out to the porch and goes back on the shelf as art. The water everyone at the table knows.
