The island airport shares the western gap with sailboats, Leslie Street Spit reaches its accidental wilderness into the lake, and the harbourfront runs its long public edge beneath the tower. On the chart, the islands' sheltering arc and the harbour's dredged channels sit in the birch against the open lake's deepening layers.
